COAST TO COAST TURF
UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON STADIUM
Starting May 3rd, Coast to Coast Turf is renovating University of Washington's Stadium. This is the process that we will take to revamp this stadium.
-
The Tear Off
-
We will mark out the field at 7.5 foot widths
-
We start cutting the field with a walk behind turf cutter
-
While the field is being cut we have a bobcat with an attachment that rolls the turf up in perfect rolls.
-
Forklifts begin picking up the rolls and taking them to the parking lot to be loaded on trucks.
-
The original base is exposed.
-
-
Base Work
-
Our base team begins to regrade the base.
-
Hundreds of tons of gravel is brought in.
-
We begin to shape the base for the new field.
-
The base is rolled and flattened to perfect grade.
-
-
Turf
-
Now that we have a perfect E-layer we begin to layout the field with paint and string-lines
-
The Turf is now rolled out.
-
Inlays are cut in
-
Logos cut in
-
-
Infill Drop
-
Now that the field is turfed, we begin to drop infill.
-
Sand is dropped first, followed by rubber.
-
As infill is being dropped, a sweeper follows, ensuring that all the fibers stand up.
